Session A: January 19--May 13, 2016
For international students with F-1 visas. Also available to all others.
F-1 students are required to register for and attend 20 hours per week for 16 weeks for a total of 320 instructional hours to maintain their F-1 status.
Other students including au pairs on J-1 visas, Marin residents, professionals, and those needing to improve their English to gain employment may sign up for Session A.
International Student Orientation for credit and IEP students: Takes place at the Kentfield campus January 7, 2016. Contact abwelch@marin.edu for details.

Visa Categories

F-1 Visa Students
F-1 students are required to register for and attend 20 hours per week for 16 weeks for a total of 320 instructional hours to maintain their F-1 status. Attendance is taken in all courses.  F-1 students who do not have a verifiable excuse (medical, legal etc) run the risk of becoming out of status, and they may lose their I-20 status with the College of Marin Intensive English Program. The tuition for F-1 students is $2,500. F-1 students are also required to purchase the health insurance(www.studentinsuranceusa.com) for $670--$938 per semester.

B-1 Visa Students
Students on B (tourist) visas may register for up to 15 hours per session.
