Contemporary Opera Marin Presents Maria of Buenos Aires

Maria of Buenos Aires, A Tango Opera in One Act

Friday, June 27 – 7:30 p.m

Music by Astor Piazzolla. Poetry by Horacio Ferrer.
Contemporary Opera Marin, the opera program of the College of Marin, Paul Smith, director, presents Astor Piazzolla's fascinating tango opera, Maria of Buenos Aires. This 70 minute work combines beautiful singing, mystical poetry, and of course, the tango, in a fully staged English language production.
