College of Marin Child Development Program Sponsors Child Care Food Program

Kentfield, CA—October 7, 2010—College of Marin (COM) announces sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).  
According to COM Child Development Program Director Lyda Beardsley this program addresses an important need in our community.
“Through CACFP children receive nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of their preschool education,” said Beardsley.  “Many of the organic fruits and vegetables the children enjoy each day are grown at the Organic Farm on the Indian Valley campus.”  
The program is available without charge to all enrolled children at the following locations:
College of Marin Children’s Center
835 College Ave.
Kentfield, CA 94904
Indian Valley College Children’s Center
1800 Ignacio Blvd.
Novato, CA 94949
