Lost or Stolen Parking Permits

Lost Permits

  1. No credit or refund will be given to a student for a lost permit.
  2. A student may purchase a replacement parking permit at full price if the permit has been lost, by completing a Parking Permit Replacement Request Form and submitting it to the Office of Admission and Records.  The Admissions staff member will void the original parking permit and issue a new permit.

Stolen Permits

If a parking permit has been stolen as a result of a crime being committed (stolen vehicle, forced entry); a police report must be submitted in order to process a replacement parking permit.

  1. Students must attach the police report to a completed Parking Permit Replacement Request Form and submit both documents to the Office of Admissions and Records.
  2. If the police report indicates that it was a case of a stolen vehicle or forced entry, the original parking permit will be voided and new permit will be issued at no cost.

In order to receive a replacement, students must submit a Parking Permit Replacement Request form.

The College of Marin upon the request of the student will grant a parking permit refund under the following conditions:

  1. College of Marin has canceled a course for which the student was enrolled and the student has no other enrollment for the term in Credit, Noncredit, Community Education or Emeritus College courses.
  2. The student has dropped all courses on or before the last day to qualify for an enrollment/tuition fee refund for full-semester classes.
  3. The student has dropped all courses by 10 percent of the number of days the classes meet for short-term Credit classes.

In addition to meeting one of the conditions listed above, the student must return the original Parking Permit with the completed Parking Permit Refund Request form.
