New Full-time Faculty Academy

The New Full-time Faculty Academy was launched in spring 2012 to provide an orientation program for newly hired full-time instructors. Each session included information about various College programs, services and resources as well as an opportunity for participants to present teaching strategies and share innovations with each other. Program agendas were planned by the Professional Development Committee with input from the Academic Senate, Human Resources, the Office of Student Learning, Staff Development and the Office Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness. Academy participants also provided feedback that shaped the agenda. The Academy included five three-hour sessions presented monthly over the course of the semester. The academy will be repeated in Fall 2012.
