Parking at the College of Marin

Free Lot - Lot 13

Students must pay for parking at the Kentfield and Indian Valley campuses of College of Marin except in Lot 13.  This lot closes at 5 pm.  At that time Lot 12 is free.

  • Lot 13 is behind the Physical Education building across from Woodlands Market.
  • (Turn left at the stop sign near the gas station and drive around to the right.

Daily Permits for all other lots at Kentfield and at Indian Valley Campus

DAILY PERMITS ($4 each day)
If you don’t have a semster permit, you must buy DAILY PERMITS from the PERMIT DISPENSERS in each of the student lots. You must use quarters (25 cent coins) and/or 1 (one) dollar bills to buy permits from the machines. Some machines also take credit cards. Be sure to take your change and your receipt!

Put DAILY PERMITS on the dashboard in front of the steering wheel where police can see them.

Motorcycles with proper license plate registration do not need a parking permit, but only if they park in motorcycle parking areas. These areas are clearly marked and posted. They are located:

  • on the Kentfield Campus in lots 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  • on Indian Valley Campus in lots 2, 5, and 7.

A motorcycle found in a vehicle space without a permit will get a ticket. A motorcycle found outside of a marked space will get a ticket.

Semester Parking Permits.

Students can buy a SEMESTER PERMIT at Cashiering Offices at College of Marin in Kentfield or at the Indian Valley Campus. Please give them a parking permit application from the ESL Office and show your letter that you are in class this semester.

Write down your license plate number and the kind of car you have. Permits cost $41 for Fall or Spring and $25 for Summer.
