WASC Removes COM from Probation and Reaffirms Accreditation

The College of Marin received official notification that the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC WASC), has removed all sanctions and fully reaffirmed the college’s accreditation.
 
“This is a great day for the College of Marin,” said COM Superintendent/President Frances L. White, Ph.D.

College of Marin has implemented AlertU, an emergency notification system. The college will use the text message alert system to send emergency information and updates to the mobile devices of participating students, faculty, staff and community members in real-time.

Three Generations of California Printmakers Featured at COM

An exhibit featuring three generations of renowned California printmakers is on display at College of Marin through July 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Services Building, Room 146, 835 College Ave., Kentfield, CA. The exhibit and reception are open to the public free of charge.

Study Abroad

Rotating world

To offer more study abroad immersion opportunities for students, College of Marin will join the Northern California Study Abroad Consortium as an Associate Member in 2008-2009.

The NCSAC Consortium is running two semester-length programs in fall 2008. One program will be held in Spain and the other in London.
