Current Events

The day has set on the Classified Senate Halloween Party, Costume Contest and Fund-Raiser... come back next year for an even spookier good time.

Thank you all for your continued support and participation in making this event a success.

Come dress-up or dress-down, choose your chow, give a cheer! Meet your COM-panions for a little relaxing refreshment at reasonable rates, right nearby: Deedy Lounge, Thursday, October 30th, from 11:30 to 1:30.
Costume Contestants need to arrive by 12:00 so judges can observe & choose winners by 12:30, sharp; categories are Black &/or White; Scary; and Group Costume(s).

Dr. Coon has generously approved two hours of release time especially to allow our ghouls and ghosts at IVC to have enough time to drive over and partake in the festivities. Come on by, say hello, buy some yummy BBQ’d burgers or veggie burgers or hot-diggity-dogs, try your luck at our raffle (drawing will be at 1:00), and support your fellow classified staff members. Here is the menu for this year's festivities.

We are still accepting donations for Raffle Prizes so if you would like to donate please email Laura.cooper@marin.edu. You can also drop off any donations to SMN 203 from 2 - 5 pm M-F.  Funds raised help us as we work to represent the voice of all Classified Staff in matters of college governance, institutional policies and procedures, college goals, plans, and priorities, as well as funding certificates, awards and gifts for Classified Staff.
Use this link to view a gallery of just some of the scarily good items donated to the raffle.

Also, if you would like to organize a carpool to or from IVC you can use groupcarpool.com to assist you. Looking forward to a scarily good time.
Everyone in the College of Marin family is welcome to attend – the more the scarier!  Wahaa haa hah!

Please RSVP any dietary preferences or costume contest entries to Laura.cooper@marin.edu.

Constitution & Bylaws

In November 2010, the Classified Senate recommended a revision to the Classified Senate Constitution and Bylaws that updated the documents and clarified procedures to reflect current practice. The revised Constitution and Bylaws were approved by a majority vote of the Classified Staff on November 29, 2010, and Article III was amended in May 2012.
