College of Marin’s The 1619 Project COMmon Read capstone event features legendary scholars Dr. Angela Davis and Dr. Robyn Spencer in conversation about abolition, gender, and the Black radical tradition. The evening kicks off with music by Kash Killion and poetry by Tongo Eisen-Martin. The event honors the College’s yearlong work with The 1619 Project by Nikole Hannah-Jones.

Free for current COM students while tickets last. Sliding scale donations starting at $25, proceeds benefit COM Umoja Learning Community Scholarships and Basic Needs. Limited income tickets are available. Registration required. No refunds.
