Academic Research Grants (replacing IR&Ds), Professional Development, and Sabbaticals

Faculty have opportunities to engage in research and professional learning under the UPM/District collective bargaining agreement. Please join UPM Chief Negotiator Marco Gonzalez and General Counsel Mia Robertshaw to learn about the new Academic Research Grant (ARGs) program, professional development leave and funds, and sabbaticals.

The new Academic Research Grants program takes the place of Institutional Research and Development grants. For Spring 2025 only, the deadline for Fall 2025 and year-long 2025-2026 ARG applications will be April 1. We will have ARG forms available following the COMmunity Hour.
