Earth Day: A Celebration of Migration on Earth

Each year, Monarch butterflies undertake a remarkable, multi-generational journey, traveling thousands of miles.

They’ve become a powerful symbol of human migration and immigration, bringing new cultures, knowledge, resilience, and strength to our communities.

The College of Marin supports migrating Monarchs by establishing and maintaining waystation gardens on campus. This Earth Day, join MESA, the Sustainability Club, and the Biology Dept. to plant milkweed seedlings, enjoy lunch, and make art as we celebrate migration and our diverse community.
