Open House

The Communication Department is hosting an open house to celebrate students pursuing associate degrees for transfer in communications studies and film/television/electronic media. This event will take place Tuesday, December 4, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Learning Resources Center, room 32, and is open to all College of Marin students, faculty, and staff. Communication majors and those interested in the program are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.

What is an associate degree for transfer?

College of Marin offers associate degrees specifically designed for transfer to the California State University (CSU) system. The associate in arts for transfer (AA-T) and the associate in science for transfer (AS-T) are designed for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. Students who complete the AA-T or AS-T are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major.
