Pepper Spray Safety Class

The COM Police Department will hold a pepper spray safety class open to all COM students, faculty, and staff. The cost to attend the two-hour class is $20 per person and includes an inert canister of pepper spray (training can), a pepper spray authorization card, and a pepper spray canister. To be authorized to carry pepper spray on COM's campuses an individual must first get permission from the Campus Police. Permission to carry pepper spray on campus will be granted once the class has been completed.

Pepper spray is very easy to use, but like any other type of self-defense device, it’s always a good idea to be trained on proper usage. This class teaches proper handling and use of pepper spray as well as the best way to carry the canister and the importance of keeping it within reach. Please email Lieutenant John Adams or call (415) 485-9478 to reserve your seat.
