Did you know that most people want to help when someone is struggling, but lack the words to help (but want to learn them)? Suicide prevention takes all of us. Come together and learn how to build a safe community for those in distress. During this workshop, you will learn how to be a helper and to seek help.

Key Workshop Topics:
  • Terminology and facts about suicide
  • Risk and protective factors and warning signs
  • Communication strategies to help someone who might be in distress and refer them to safety
  • Local County-wide and COM resources for additional support

For questions and to RSVP: [email protected]

Individuals seeking access support or reasonable accommodations to attend this event may contact Student Accessibility Services at [email protected] or (415) 485-9406. We will provide ASL Interpreting and closed captioning.
