Contemporary Opera Marin, Paul Smith, director, continues its long association with British composer Judith Weir with a new production of her 1985 community opera The Black Spider. Combining a European legend of the supernatural and a current day (true) murder mystery, Weir's musical style is evident throughout, but in a form easily accessible for both performer and audience.
Running approximately 60 minutes, this large cast work is chock full of delight, appropriate for all audiences and ideal for the spooky season.
As always, FREE admission, FREE parking, and complimentary light refreshments following each performance.
