Beethoven was well-known for his love of nature and the country life, and he immortalized this fondness in his beautiful, evocative Symphony No. 6 (“Pastoral”). Hear the College of Marin Symphony Orchestra perform this captivating musical journey, complete with rustling brooks, bird calls, a terrifying thunderstorm, country songs, and dances — and an entrancing celebration of the simple, rural life. J. S. Bach’s meditative Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, opens the program in an arrangement for full orchestra. Don’t miss this evening of gorgeous music!
