COM's for credit class, KIN157 (Elements of Swim Technique) builds water confidence while mastering swimming skills, emergency readiness, and pace-clock training for endurance, with a course sequence from beginner to advanced that ensures strong foundations, enhanced efficiency, and refined stroke technique.

- College of Marin's kinesiology classes provide something for everyone—from beginners building a fitness foundation to advanced athletes pushing their limits. We offer everything from strength training and cardiovascular health to high-intensity interval training and functional fitness, with the goal to build lifelong wellness skills. COM’s kinesiology program has been helping our community thrive for a century… and we’re just getting warmed up.
Redwood Empire Synchro – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- At Redwood Empire Masters synchronized swimming team, we believe fitness should be fun, no matter your age or experience level. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned swimmer, our team offers something for everyone — from introductory programs to training with the #1 Masters Synchro Team in the US! Come for the camaraderie, stay for the fitness, and fall in love with a new skill.
Dive Lab – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- Dive Lab is expanding access to platform and springboard diving in the Bay Area and changing the future of club sports. By inspiring a love of the sport and implementing an inclusive and holistic training approach, Dive Lab helps build well-rounded athletes and young adults.

Discover your campus through a new lens! Unleash your creativity and join ESCOM’s Digital Camera Club for a relaxed, social photography outing open to all skill levels. Bring your digital camera or cell phone and explore the unique sights of College of Marin's Indian Valley Campus with fellow photo enthusiasts.
During the outing, we’ll embark on two 20-minute photo explorations where you can capture the campus from fresh perspectives while connecting with like-minded photographers. Whether you’re new to photography or a seasoned shooter, this is a perfect opportunity to learn, share tips, and expand your eye for interesting subjects.

Iaido: The Art of the Japanese Sword – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center, Room 105
Join Instructor Ron Campbell, 5th Dan, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido, and current students of Iaido for a captivating demonstration and talk at College of Marin. Experience the benefits, challenges, and rewards of practicing this 600 year old art form known as Iaido, the art of the Japanese sword. Learn about the history and philosophy behind each movement as students perform traditional kata (forms) and techniques that have been passed down from the time of the samurai.

Marin Aquatic Masters Swim Team – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- Marin Aquatic Masters is a USMS year round swim team offering technique and fitness training to all levels.Coached by experienced, award-winning coaches, our focus is to help each swimmer achieve their goals both as an athlete and as an individual. In addition to our regular training sessions, offered conveniently both in the morning and evening, Marin Aquatic Masters provides free adult learn to swim lessons to the residents of Marin County. To date, we have taught hundreds of adults to swim, achieving our goal to make swimming accessible for everyone and to make our community safer and healthier.

Marin Swim League – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- The Marin Swim League (MSL) is a spring recreational league with more than 1,800 youth swimmers across Marin County. Ten local community teams come together for fun, competitive meets that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. For over five decades, the league has been a cornerstone of Marin’s aquatic community, fostering a love of swimming and community spirit, and culminating each season with a county-wide Championship meet on the last Saturday in June.
Novato Riptide – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- The Novato Riptide is a volunteer run member team of the MSL, drawing largely from the Novato community. The Riptide fosters and promotes the ideals of positive sportsmanship, community, and self-improvement for swimmers of all ages and abilities. At the Riptide, the aim is to develop positive self-esteem in a fun environment with a focus on developing proper swim technique and supporting each swimmer in his or her personal goals. We welcome swimmers of all levels and ability to become part of the Riptide legacy.

- Live demonstrations, hands-on training, and information about Microsoft certification with the Computer Information Systems program.

COM Community Ed – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- Community Fitness Swim Classes as offered by College of Marin are open to all levels of swimmers with the aim to provide technique instruction and stroke feedback in a fun and accessible format. All participants are given an equal opportunity to learn fundamental skills and benefit from on-deck coaching while prioritizing an enjoyable swimming experience."

Thunder Coast Aquatics – Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center
- Thunder Coast Aquatics is competitive year-round youth swim team, providing learn to swim instruction as well as elite training for those who compete at a national level and have a goal to swim in college. Swimmers compete in USA Swimming sponsored meets locally, regionally and nationally.
